The Osborne No. 419 Prong Button Tufter accepts any length of prong 22 to 45 size of button.
Tool is withdrawn after piercing fabric leaving the prongs extended through the fabric. This keeps the prongs from spreading while being put through the padding.
Prong is penetrated into hollow end of tufter, then it is pushed through construction and withdrawn, leaving prong extended.
